Daphne Watson Blackwell,Studio Potter and owner of CLAY NICKEL STUDIO, studied pottery/ceramics at The Corcoran School of Art (now the Corcoran College of Art and Design, Washington, D.C.). Daphne  has developed Clay Arts programs at various locations for the Montgomery County, Maryland Receration Department. Since 1999 she instructs and design pottery programs for the City of Milford, CT. Recreation Department and the Board of Education. In addition she conducts pottery workshops for the Town of Trumbull, CT. Daphne is also a "Visiting Artist" for Trumbull, Milford, and Bridgeport School systems. Daphne has brought the Clay Arts to many children, adults, and art educators. Daphne also has served as docent at the Corcoran Gallery of Art, Washington, DC and currently at the Yale University Gallery of Art.
